Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson keeps his sexy head of hair under a beanie as he strolls along Melrose Avenue after a late afternoon shopping spree in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The 22-year-old British actor picked up a few items from second-hand clothing store “The Wasteland”. Afterwards, Robert was stopped on the street by a young fan. Of course, he kindly stopped to pose for a quick pic.

Later in the evening, Robert picked up some off-the-menu options at the In-N-Out drive-through. He chowed down in his car and stopped at a gas station, where he threw out his burger trash. Robert then picked up a case of Heineken beer and headed home.

He shared with the mag about his fluctulating body weight while shooting the vampire film: “I used to go to the gym for about five hours a day but then I started losing so such weight. My head started to look really huge in comparison to the rest of my body. [Director Catherine Hardwicke] came up to me and said, ‘What are you doing to yourself?’. [To gain weight,] I literally stopped exercising. Eating a cheeseburger after 2 1/2 months of doing that–it tasted like ambrosia.”

“Twilight is a metaphor for the virtues of chastity, but it’s had the opposite effect,” the 22-year-old British actor told the mag, which named him Hot Actor of the Year. “I get letters that say, ‘I’m going to kill myself if you don’t watch High School Musical 2 with me.’ ”

Recalls Pattinson, “A mother recently gave me her baby and asked, ‘Can you please bite his head?’ ”

When asked about music, Rob said, “I think if I did it, I’d do it under a different name and not promote it. … Maybe I could just do it under ‘Edward Cullen,’ and we’ll see what happens! I don’t like to look like I’m cashing in on stuff, so I probably won’t do it for a while. I’m not really interested in having a music career. I don’t care if people buy my stuff or not.”

The 22-year-old actor appeared at the Apple Store in Soho yesterday along with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke. When asked if he was anything like his on-screen persona Edward Cullen, Robert told the packed store, “I have an incredible six-pack. I’m joking. I can run really fast. I’m good at climbing trees. I always get carried away when I’m kissing people. I just go nuts.”

It’s Edward Cullen.’ …I’m sort of signed on for another two, but it’s all dependent on what happens at the box office.
